The SDGs Design International Awards 2023: Winners!

The Awards Ceremony of “SDGs Design International Awards 2023” was held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, hosted by the SDGs Design Unit, Graduate School of Design, Kyushu University, and Center for Designed Futures, Kyushu University.

This year’s awards were held in collaboration with the Asian Institute of Future Design and Dongseo University in Korea, with the theme, “Sustainable Future Design for Children. 79 university and high school students from 17 countries and regions around the world participated, and 202 applications were received. After a rigorous screening process, the following students were awarded.

Gold Award
BLOCK & MEMORY: Orientation walking ability training AIDS designed for visually impaired children
Luo Hong Xu, Han Jiayi, and Chu Xinrui of Dalian University of Technology, China

Silver Award
Pieces of Peace
Hao Cao and Masao Oi of the Tokyo University, Japan

Bronze Award
Cosmic Education – for the past, present and future
Shruti Umesh Chakke of IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, Italy

KM Biologics Award
The Brave Adventure of ‘Vaccine’
Shuma Kihara and Wang Jia of Kyushu University, Japan

Yuko Lucky Group Award
Let’s Protect the Shining Stars
Jessica Andrade dos Santos and Jose Aceituno of Kyushu University, Japan

Special Awards for High School Students
