Global Goals Jam Fukuoka 2024: Call for participation!

RECONNECT & REPAIR from Food and Flower

Global Goals Jam (GGJ) is a two-day public participation design workshop to think about sustainability from a global perspective and generate ideas for solutions to local issues to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). The workshop has been organized by Kyushu University since 2016.

We want to welcome interested people to participate in the 2-day workshop!

◼︎ Date: November 16 (Sat.) – 17 (Sun.), 2024,  9:00-18:00

◼︎ Venue: Kyushu University Ohashi Campus (4-9-1 Shiobara, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City)
*The event will be held in person.

◼︎ Global Goals Jam 2024 Theme: [RECONNECT & REPAIR from Food and Flower]
Let’s propose fun and innovative solutions to social issues, such as universal design for the One Person, One Flower Movement project in Fukuoka City, the Nakagawa Charity Riverside Pop-Up Project, and sustainable design for food.

◼︎ Program:

SPRINT 1 | Explore it! Explore the issues!
We will get into the context of the issue through field research and dialogue with partners.
SPRINT 2 | Respond to it!
How can the problem and its context be used to inspire new ideas?
SPRINT 3 | Make it!
We will create a prototype to clearly communicate the problem and insights and share our story with others.
SPRINT 4 | Share it!
Share your project with the world through a presentation.

◼︎ Target: People who are passionate about social issues and can participate for 2 days.
*We welcome international participants such as exchange students, etc. We can provide support in English and Chinese.

◼︎ Capacity: 15 people (first-come-first-served basis)

◼︎ Participation Fee: Free (reservation required)
